Step inside Freedom House, a generative workshop led by acclaimed poet and cultural worker KB Brookins, where the architecture of activism meets the artistry of creative practice. In collaboration with the ACLU of Texas, Brookins invites participants to explore their social justice work as a house, with each room representing a distinct facet of their activism. Participants will be encouraged to furnish those spaces with elements of their own artistic expression. Attendees will leave with a blueprint for integrating art and advocacy. Participants will be asked to bring a notebook and pen; a projector will be used to share visual materials throughout the session.
