Join KB for Freedom House: An Art & Social Justice workshop, taking place on the first weekend of the Future Front Market!
Workshop description: What does freedom look like? What can we learn from nature and our past? How can we use art as a tool in the toolbox that helps build freedom? In this workshop, KB will use analysis of past art movements and overt/covert political art to invigorate participants to make their own art useful to social justice movements. This workshop will include prompts suitable for artists working in any medium (writing, visual art, etc), so come ready to create!
Venue Location and Accessibility: The Front Market will be held at Ani's Day and Night, which is located at 7107 E Riverside Dr, Austin, TX 78741. The Front Market is free or by donation. All ages welcome! The venue wheelchair-accessible and all activities will occur on the ground floor.
Parking: Ani's has a 60-car parking lot with ample, complimentary street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods (please be mindful and courteous!). We highly encourage utilizing rideshare, carpooling or the City of Austin's public transportation, too.
Available Languages: ASL interpreters can be provided upon request; send requests to hello@futurefronttexas.org. Si necesita traducción al español para participar en este evento, envíenos un correo electrónico a hello@futurefronttexas.org.
